How to change DNS Address?
To change your DNS address in Windows XP
- Go to Start → Setting → Control Panel.
- After Control Panel gets open double click on Network Connections icon.
- Right Click on "Local Area Connection" and go to its Properties or double click on Local Area Connection.
Note: If you have more then one Local Area Connection then make sure not to click on red x. - Click on Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on properties or double click on Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
- Now you can fill prefered DNS Server Address and Alternate DNS Server Address as per your need.
- After you fill new DNS addresses click on ok.
To change your DNS address in Windows 7 and Vista.
- Go to Control Panel.
- Double click on Network and Sharing Center or View network status and tasks.
- After it gets open click on change adapter setting it will be on left hand side.
- Right Click on "Local Area Connection" and go to its Properties or double click on Local Area Connection.
Note: If you have more then one Local Area Connection then make sure not to click on red x. - Click on Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on properties or double click on Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
- Now you can fill prefered DNS Server Address and Alternate DNS Server Address as per your need.
